CHAPTER 3: A FATHER'S PROMISE

As Noah and Walter escaped through the back door, Jax faced the Black Vultures alone.

Reed smirked.

“You just met the kid. He's not really your son.”

Jax's eyes hardened.

“He's my son. That's all that matters.”

Before anyone could move, the sound of motorcycles filled the air.

Bikers from across town arrived and surrounded the diner.

Then police sirens echoed in the distance.

Reed realized he had lost.

“This isn't over,” he warned.

Jax stepped forward.

“It is tonight.”

The Black Vultures backed away and disappeared before the police arrived.

For now, Noah was safe.

The next morning, Jax stood beside Emily's grave with Noah.

Fresh flowers rested against the headstone.

After a long silence, Noah looked up.

“Mom said you would come if you knew.”

Jax nodded.

“She was right.”

“Did you really not leave us?”

“Never,” Jax replied.

Noah smiled for the first time.

“Then don't leave again.”

Jax knelt and hugged him tightly.

“Never.”

As father and son walked away from the cemetery together, the sun broke through the clouds.

They couldn't get back the lost years.

But they finally had a future.

And this time, they would face it together.

THE END ❤️
