The Standoff at 23:45: The hallway outside Room 408 becomes a battlefield of cold wills. Garrett, Evelyn, and their Ironclad security arrive with the paperwork to shut off the mechanical ventilator. Garrett steps forward to order the guards to clear the room, only to find the door locked from the inside.
Breach and Confrontation: Garrett orders his private security to kick the door in. As the wood splinters, they step into the room expecting a helpless woman and a dying patient. Instead, they find Captain Alvarez and four federal tactical agents with tactical carbines drawn, alongside a fully mobilized military medical retrieval team from Dover Air Force Base.
The Overturning: Dr. Marcus Vance, broken by guilt and terrified of federal prison, turns state’s evidence on the spot. Under the gaze of hospital cameras, he recants his falsified coma score on the record, identifying Garrett and Evelyn as the instigators who coerced the falsification under threat and bribery. As the clock strikes midnight, Garrett is forced to the floor in front of the local news crews who had arrived expecting an entirely different story.
