The foyer fell silent after the attorney's shocking words.
"The child is mentioned in the will."
Emiliano stared in disbelief.
"What does Abril have to do with my grandmother's will?"
The attorney opened the folder.
"Years ago, Elena Arriaga created a private trust for a future female heir of the family."
Mercedes frowned.
"How much is the trust worth?"
The attorney answered quietly.
"Forty million dollars."
Gasps filled the room.
Renata's face turned white.
The little girl she had tried to throw out that morning was now revealed to be one of the family's heirs.
