Chapter 6 - The Crown of the Valenti EmpireSix months later.

The gardens of the Valenti estate were bursting with thousands of blooming white roses under a brilliant September sun.
The press had called it the wedding of the decade—though it was closed to the tabloid journalists and high-society snobs. Only close friends, loyal syndicate capos who respected the new order, and a very select group of family members were in attendance.
At the altar beneath a floral arch stood Adrian Valenti, wearing a classic black tuxedo, his gray eyes shining with an emotion the underworld had never believed he possessed.
To the strains of a gentle string quartet, the heavy wooden doors at the end of the aisle opened.
Chloe walked down first as the flower girl, scattering pink rose petals across the white runner, wearing a sweet matching dress. Behind her walked Leo and Dante, carrying the velvet ring pillow between them with solemn, proud expressions.
And then came Madeline.
She wasn't wearing a secondhand rayon dress this time. She wore a breathtaking, custom-designed ivory lace gown that hugged her curves to perfection, accentuating her natural beauty with timeless elegance. Resting against her throat was a delicate diamond necklace that Adrian had commissioned just for her—not as a symbol of status, but as a testament of his devotion.
As she reached the altar, Adrian stepped forward, taking her hands in his.
“You look...” Adrian whispered, his voice thick with emotion. “There are no words.”
Madeline smiled, her eyes radiant with joy. “You clean up nicely yourself, Mr. Valenti.”
The minister smiled, beginning the ceremony, but neither of them needed a script. When the time came for the vows, Adrian slipped a heavy platinum band onto her finger, looking deep into her eyes.
“I promise to love you, to protect you, and to stand beside you for the rest of my days,” Adrian vowed, his voice ringing clear and strong across the gardens. “You gave me back my family. You gave me back my heart.”
“And I promise to love your children as my own, and to love you when life is easy and when it is difficult,” Madeline replied, her voice steady and full of fierce, unshakeable devotion.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the minister smiled. “You may kiss the bride.”
Adrian didn't hesitate. He pulled Madeline into his arms, kissing her deeply and passionately in front of everyone they held dear, while applause erupted across the lawn.

Down in the front row, little Chloe cheered, clapping her hands so hard she dropped her flower basket, while Leo and Dante grinned from ear to ear.
And as Adrian lifted Madeline off her feet in a joyful spin, the mafia king of New York knew he had won the only battle that truly mattered—not with bullets or blood, but with the warm, healing embrace of the woman who had taught his children, and their father, how to love again.
