PART 2: THE FOOTAGE THAT EXPOSED HER

The next morning, my mother returned with relatives, ready to defend herself.
But she had no idea what I had prepared.
I connected my laptop to the TV.
Sofia sat beside me, holding Mateo.
And I pressed play.
The room fell silent.
My mother’s voice filled the screen:
“You trapped my son with a baby.”
Gasps echoed.
The footage continued.
Sofia struggling in pain.
My mother forcing her to clean, cook, and work.
Sofia begging to rest.
My mother replying:
“Stop pretending to be weak.”
Then Sofia collapsed.
Mateo cried.
And my mother sat down to eat.
The video ended.
Silence followed.
Then my mother said:
“You’re twisting things.”
I stared at her.
Even after everything.
She still refused to admit it.
My aunt finally spoke:
“This isn’t normal behavior.”
My mother snapped.
“I’m not crazy!”
But no one believed her anymore.
For the first time, she had no control.
No power.
No audience.
She stood up, shaking.
“I’m leaving!”
But before she walked out, she looked at Sofia.
And smiled.
A cold smile.
“You don’t know everything.”
Then she left.
And the room froze.
Because Sofia suddenly went silent.
Afraid.
Not of my mother’s anger.
But of her words.
And I realized:
There was more to this story.
May you like
Something connected to the hospital.
Something Sofia never told me.
