Chapter 6 - A New Dawn

Six months later, Jonathan Reed walked out of the rehab center on his own two feet. He was leaner, scarred, and forever changed, but he was alive.

His first order of business wasn't corporate—it was personal. He established a foundation dedicated to neurological research and created a massive scholarship fund for children of hospital staff.

Maria and Emily were his first guests at the new Reed headquarters. Jonathan knelt down to Emily’s height. He didn't see a janitor's daughter; he saw the girl who had brought him the caterpillar that had anchored his soul back to his body.

"You saved my life," Jonathan said softly.
