Over the next three months, while Emily focused on her health, preparing her nursery, and building a peaceful life surrounded by her family, the legal net around Jason Sullivan and Chelsea Miller tightened into a steel trap.
Without corporate backing or expensive private legal teams, Jason’s defense strategy completely collapsed. The financial audits revealed that not only had he embezzled millions from client trust funds, but he had also framed junior partners to cover his tracks. The federal prosecutors offered him a single, non-negotiable choice: plead guilty to all counts and accept a guaranteed thirty-year federal prison sentence without parole, or face a fifty-year maximum trial where every dirty detail of his personal and professional corruption would be laid bare before the public.
Jason pleaded guilty in early October.
Chelsea, abandoned by her family and betrayed by Jason, attempted to negotiate a lesser sentence by cooperating with state prosecutors regarding the premeditated nature of the vandalism. But security footage, phone geolocations, and her own arrogant selfies proved she had acted with malicious, calculated intent.
The sentencing hearing in November was swift and brutal.
Judge Vance sentenced Chelsea Miller to twelve years in state prison for felony stalking, hate-motivated property destruction, and conspiracy, with no possibility of parole for the first eight years.

His assets were completely liquidated, his license to practice finance was permanently revoked, and every penny he had stolen was returned to victims or placed into a restitution fund.
On the day of the sentencing, as Jason was led out of the courtroom in heavy leg irons, he looked toward the gallery where Emily had once sat. But Emily wasn't there.
