Chapter 6 - The Wedding of the Century and the New KingTwo weeks later, the snow-covered grounds of the Castellano estate transformed into a fortress of white lilies, candlelight, and armed security.

The wedding of Dominic Castellano and Amelia Vance was not announced to the tabloid press, but every major power player, politician, and syndicate boss from Boston to Miami received an invitation they dared not ignore. It was a clear, unmistakable message to the underworld: She is mine. Touch her, and die.

Inside the grand private chapel of the estate, the string quartet played a soft, melancholic jazz melody—a subtle nod to the old records Amelia loved.

Attorney Julian Vance and the members of the Castellano family council sat in the front pews, their faces grim and silent, knowing they had been utterly defeated by Dominic’s strategic checkmate.

At the altar stood Dominic. He wore a bespoke black tuxedo that fit his broad shoulders to perfection, his arm fully healed from the gunshot wound, his dark gray eyes shining with an intensity that brooked no argument.

The heavy oak doors at the end of the aisle swung open.

Amelia walked down the aisle. She was nine months pregnant now, glowing with an ethereal, breathtaking beauty. She wore a custom-designed ivory silk gown that hugged her curves and gracefully accommodated her rounding belly. Resting against her throat was a delicate diamond necklace Dominic had given her that morning.

As she reached the altar, Dominic stepped forward, taking her trembling hands in his.

“You take my breath away,” Dominic whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

“You clean up alright yourself, Mr. Castellano,” Amelia smiled through happy tears.

The minister began the ceremony, but neither of them needed a script. When the time came for the vows, Dominic slipped the heavy family heirloom ring onto her finger, his gaze locking onto hers with absolute, eternal finality.

“I promise to protect you, to cherish you, and to place my life, my empire, and my soul at your feet,” Dominic vowed, his voice ringing clear and strong through the chapel. “You gave me a family when I didn't even know I was bleeding.”

“And I promise to love you, to stand by your side through every shadow, and to love you when life is peaceful and when it is terrifying,” Amelia replied, her voice steady and full of unshakeable devotion.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife,” the minister smiled. “You may kiss the bride.”

Dominic didn't hesitate. He pulled Amelia into his arms, dipping her slightly and kissing her deeply and passionately in front of every rival, ally, and family member in attendance, while applause erupted through the chapel.

That night, high above the Hudson River, as snow fell gently outside the reinforced glass windows of the master suite, Amelia lay curled against Dominic’s warm, solid chest.

Her hand rested softly against her belly, where their son gave one final, gentle kick, as if welcoming his father home.

Dominic pressed a tender kiss to the top of her head, his arms wrapped securely around them both. The war was over. The shadows had receded. And the mafia king of New York had finally found his true kingdom—right here, in the arms of the woman who had hidden his heir, and the family that would never let them go.
