Chapter 5 - The Fall of Valenti & A New Dawn

The following two weeks passed in a whirlwind of decisive action.

Gabriel did not hide behind his walls. With his heart restored and his purpose clear, he struck back against Don Valenti with terrifying efficiency—not through bloodshed in the streets, but through absolute economic annihilation.

Using his vast network of logistics companies, international shipping ports, and political contacts, Gabriel dismantled Valenti’s empire in fourteen days. Valenti’s warehouses were seized by federal agents, his bank accounts frozen, and his associates arrested or forced into exile.

By the end of the month, Don Valenti was ruined, stripped of his power, and no longer a threat to anyone in New York.

Gabriel officially announced his complete transition out of syndicate affairs, legalizing every branch of the Moretti enterprise, dedicating the family fortune to legitimate international shipping and charitable foundations for children’s healthcare.

He cleaned his world so that his sons would never have to carry a gun.

On a bright, warm Saturday morning in May, the grand gardens of the Moretti estate were transformed.

The dark iron gates were decorated with white roses and silver ribbons. The lawns were lush, green, and vibrant under the golden New York sunshine.

A small white canopy stood near the stone fountain, surrounded by fifty guests—trusted business partners, loyal staff members, and friends.

At the altar stood Gabriel.

He wore an impeccably tailored dark blue tuxedo, his hair neatly styled, his face radiant with happiness. Beside him stood Marco, wearing a sharp suit, acting as his best man.

The violin quartet began to play a soft, romantic melody.

The crowd stood up.

First came the three boys.

Leo, Lucas, and Liam were dressed in adorable miniature dark blue suits with tiny bowtie collars. They walked down the white aisle together, holding hands. Leo was proudly carrying a velvet cushion with two gold rings, Lucas was waving enthusiastically at the guests, and Liam was carrying his blue rabbit tucked neatly under his arm.

The crowd chuckled warmly at the sight.

And then, Emma appeared at the top of the terrace steps.

Gabriel’s breath left his chest completely.

She was breathtaking.

Emma wore an exquisite, custom-made ivory gown designed with delicate lace sleeves and an A-line skirt that draped beautifully over her soft curves. Her dark blonde hair was styled in an elegant updo adorned with tiny white flowers. She carried a bouquet of white peonies and lavender.

She did not look like the quiet, invisible maid who had walked through the front doors six months ago.

She looked like a queen.

As she walked down the aisle toward him, her hazel eyes never left Gabriel’s face.

Gabriel stepped forward to take her hand, his fingers trembling slightly as he brought her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles reverently.

"You are the most beautiful sight I have ever seen," Gabriel whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

"And you are my home," Emma replied softly, her eyes shining with tears of pure joy.

The ceremony was intimate, powerful, and filled with deep love. When the priest pronounced them husband and wife, Gabriel pulled Emma into his arms and kissed her with a passion that brought cheers and applause from the crowd.

The three boys rushed forward, throwing their arms around Gabriel and Emma’s legs, shouting in delight.

Gabriel dropped to one knee, sweeping all three toddlers into his arms while pulling Emma down beside him, kissing her cheek while the boys giggled wildly.
