Chapter 5 - The ConfrontationThe Architects knew they were coming. The basement flooded with armed men in tactical gear. The shootout was a blur of noise and light. Dominic was a titan, moving through the halls with lethal efficiency, ensuring Sophie stayed protected.

They reached the central research lab—a clinical, white room that looked like a temple of cold science. There, sitting in a high-tech cradle, was another infant. And in a secured room nearby, they saw a group of children, aged four and five, playing in silence, watched by cameras.

The head of the facility, a man named Dr. Aris, stood waiting for them.

"You think you can save them?" Aris mocked. "They are the future of the bloodlines. They are being engineered to lead, to serve, and to dominate."

Sophie didn't hesitate. She didn't look at Dominic. She ran to the nearest child, grabbing her son, Leo, who was now four, his eyes wide and vacant.

The ensuing battle was the climax of a war she hadn't known she was fighting. Dominic used every resource he had, calling in his loyalist guard to storm the building from the surface.
