Chapter 6 - A New Dawn

Three years later, the Ashworth Grand lobby looked entirely different. The antique mirror had been replaced by a stunning, modern art installation of polished brass and cascading crystal, reflecting the warm, welcoming light of a bustling, prosperous hotel.
Outside, the autumn leaves drifted gently across the sidewalks of Manhattan.
Inside the private garden courtyard of Damien’s sprawling estate overlooking the Hudson River, a small, intimate gathering of family and trusted friends was taking place. There were no mob bosses, no corrupt executives, and no fear. Just warmth, laughter, and the soft strumming of a classical guitar in the background.
Della walked down the stone pathway wearing a simple, elegant ivory dress, holding the hand of a healthy, bright-eyed two-year-old toddler with dark curls and a laugh that sounded like music.
Damien stood at the altar beneath an archway of white roses, wearing a sharp charcoal suit, waiting for them with a look of absolute, unreserved devotion on his face. When Della reached him, he reached down and scooped the toddler into his arms, kissing the little boy's cheek before looking up at Della with a gaze that had long since shed its cold, intimidating armor.
"Are you ready?" Damien asked softly.
May you like
"Always," Della smiled, slipping her hand into his.
As they exchanged vows surrounded by the people who loved them, the shadows of the past finally dissolved completely into the warm autumn sunlight. The empire Damien had built on power and survival had transformed into something far greater — a sanctuary built on loyalty, protection, and a love that had begun years ago in the middle of a rain-soaked night.
