"Not for me," Lucas said, looking at the journal Lily had brought. "Dr. Elena’s journal mentions a master override frequency. She hid it inside a piece of audio data—a specific melody she used to calm the nanotech's programming."
Lucas looked at the grand piano's schematic in his mind. The melody Marcus’s sister had written was a song she used to hum to Lily.
"I know that song," Lily whispered, hummed a haunting, beautiful seven-note progression.
Lucas smiled, his musical genius bridging the gap between sound and technology. "If we can broadcast that acoustic frequency directly into the building's central acoustic sensors, it will trigger a safe-mode collapse of their entire security network for exactly ninety seconds."
With the help of a few loyal underground tech-brokers who still believed in Jonathan, they launched a daring infiltration during a massive corporate gala Marcus was throwing to celebrate his takeover.
