Chapter 4 - The Digital Siege

By 9:15 AM, the financial architecture of the Sloane syndicate began to unravel.
Using Sarah’s compromised master credentials, Claire bypassed two layers of encryption on Sloane’s primary laundering server. Lines of green code cascaded down her monitors as she methodically executed a series of automated asset freezes, redirecting millions of dollars in illicit shipping revenue into frozen escrow accounts overseen by federal receivers.
"He’s noticing," Claire announced sharply, her fingers dancing across the keys as alarms began to ping softly on the auxiliary terminal. "Sloane’s system is attempting a hard counter-purge. He’s trying to wipe the server logs from a remote terminal in his penthouse."
"Not fast enough," Damian murmured, standing directly behind her chair, his hand resting firmly on the backrest. "Cut the main trunk line. Lock him out of his own vault."
"Done," Claire said, hitting the enter key with definitive force.
Across the city, in the opulent penthouse suite of the Sloane Maritime Building, Graham Sloane watched in sheer disbelief as every monitor on his trading desk flickered black, replaced by a single, unyielding corporate logo: COLE HOLDINGS.
His empire—built on decades of smuggling, extortion, and political bribery—had just been locked out of its own digital treasury in less than three minutes.
Sloane slammed his fist onto the mahogany desk, his face contorting with blind rage. He reached for his secure satellite phone, dialing his chief enforcer’s number, but only received a flat, automated disconnection tone.

They hadn't just beaten him at the docks. They had gutted him from the inside out.
"Get my car," Sloane snarled into the intercom to his lobby guards. "We’re going to Cole Holdings. We end this today."
