Chapter 6 - A New Dawn in Seville

The sun was setting over Andalusia, casting a warm, golden hue across the rolling olive groves and the whitewashed walls of the Salvatierra estate.
The courtyard was quiet. The whispering cousins, the fake friends, and the opportunistic socialites were all gone, filtered out by the legal purge that had cleansed the family name of its parasites. Only the loyal staff remained—those who had served my father with honor for decades and had quietly helped me secure the evidence against Ruby from the shadows.
I stood on the stone balcony, looking out over the gardens, holding a cup of steaming green tea. The air smelled of jasmine and damp earth after an afternoon rain.
The heavy oak doors of the study opened behind me, and Commander Vance stepped out, holding a final portfolio.
“The international asset recovery is complete, Doña Morgana,” Vance reported respectfully. “Every euro diverted to the Gibraltar accounts has been legally repatriated to the foundation. Salvatierra Holdings is officially secure, and the board has unanimously confirmed your position as Chairperson and CEO.”
I turned, offering him a calm, genuine smile. “Thank you, Commander. For everything. My father chose well when he placed his trust in your unit.”
“He chose well when he raised you, Madam,” Vance replied, bowing slightly before turning and walking back into the estate, leaving me to the quiet serenity of the evening.

I walked back inside the grand study. Above the fireplace hung the original portrait of Don Mateo, his dark eyes watching over the room with quiet approval. On the mahogany desk below him sat the framed charter of the company, now bearing my signature as the sole architect of its future.
I had survived the poison. I had dismantled the betrayal. And as I looked out at the vast horizon of Seville, I knew that the Salvatierra name would never again be worn like a crown of glass. It was forged in steel, and it belonged to me.
