Chapter 6 - A Crown for ThreeSeven months later.

The summer sun beamed down over the manicured gardens of the Raldi estate in Lake Forest. The shadows of treason, lies, and betrayal had been completely cleansed from the family. Victor Raldi and his accomplices were serving life sentences in maximum-security federal facilities, their assets seized and absorbed into the family estate.

On the wide stone terrace overlooking the shimmering blue waters of the lake, a grand celebration was underway.

The estate was filled with fresh white roses, light music, and the laughter of trusted allies. The cold, forbidding atmosphere that had hung over the estate for three years had been replaced by genuine warmth, security, and peace.

Adeline sat on a comfortable plush sofa on the terrace, wearing a loose, elegant white silk dress. Her pregnant belly was round and beautiful, carrying their son into his final weeks before delivery.

Cassian stepped out onto the terrace, wearing a crisp white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He carried a silver tray containing a glass of fresh orange juice and a bowl of sliced strawberries.

He walked over, setting the tray on the table, and sat beside her. He leaned down, placing his large palm over her stomach, feeling the strong, energetic kick of his baby boy beneath the silk.

“He’s active today,” Cassian murmured, a rare, soft chuckle escaping his lips.

“He knows his father is near,” Adeline smiled, leaning her head against Cassian’s broad shoulder.

Cassian wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close against his chest. He looked out over the lake—the very place where the lie had almost ruined their lives, now transformed into the sanctuary where their true family was born.

“Three years ago,” Cassian whispered into her hair, “I thought my life was meant to be a cold, empty war. I thought I was cursed to leave nothing behind.”

Adeline turned her head, looking into his deep gray eyes, which were now filled with an overwhelming, unconditional love.

“You were never cursed, Cassian,” she whispered, reaching up to gently touch his jawline. “You were just waiting for the truth.”

Cassian leaned in, kissing her deeply—a slow, passionate, breathtaking kiss that sealed every promise they had made to each other.

When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against hers, his thumb gently caressing her cheek.

“I love you, Adeline,” Cassian swore, his voice raw with emotion. “You gave me my life. You gave me my son. You are my home.”

“I love you, Cassian,” Adeline replied, her heart overflowing with absolute happiness. “Always.”

And there, under the bright summer sky, surrounded by peace, power, and an unshakeable love, the mafia boss and his queen looked toward a future that no lie could ever touch again.
