Chapter 6 - The Final AccountThe rain was falling heavily over the concrete loading docks behind the Maritime Center, slicking the asphalt and reflecting the flashing red lights of the emergency alarm.

Nikolai Volkov ran toward his armored black SUV, flanked by his last two remaining bodyguards. His face was twisted in psychotic rage as he realized his thirty-million-dollar transaction had been completely wiped from the secure servers.
"Get the car started!" Volkov screamed, pulling a heavy pistol from his coat. "We drive to the airfield immediately!"
Before the driver could reach the door handle, a single high-caliber bullet shattered the SUV's front tire with a deafening explosive pop.
The vehicle sank onto its rim.
Volkov spun around, raising his weapon toward the dark rain.
Walking out from the shadows of the shipping containers, side by side, were Raffaele Mosca and Jisoo.
The rain poured over Raffaele’s dark tuxedo and Jisoo’s tactical outfit. They didn't run. They walked with the steady, unstoppable momentum of a storm that had been four years in the making.
Volkov’s two bodyguards raised their weapons, but before they could squeeze their triggers, Enzo and three Mosca snipers fired from the upper container roofs, dropping both guards instantly into the wet asphalt.
Volkov stood alone, backing up until his shoulders hit the side of his ruined SUV.
He stared at Jisoo, his eyes widening in sudden, terrifying recognition as the rain washed the makeup from her face.
"You..." Volkov stammered, his voice trembling with sheer horror. "Captain Han... You died in the mountains..."
"Ghosts don't die, Volkov," Jisoo said, her voice cutting through the rain like a razor blade. She raised her suppressed pistol, pointing it directly at his forehead. "They just wait for the right time to collect."
"Wait!" Volkov shrieked, holding up his bloodstained hands. "I have money! Millions! In Swiss accounts! I can give you whatever you want!"
Raffaele stepped beside Jisoo, placing a warm, grounding hand gently on her shoulder. He looked at Volkov with eyes that held no mercy, no hesitation—only absolute executioner's justice.
"She doesn't want your money, Volkov," Raffaele said coldly. "She wants justice for her team. And I want justice for my brother."
Volkov made a desperate, frantic motion to lift his gun.
BANG. BANG.
Two synchronized gunshots echoed across the stormy pier.
Volkov collapsed onto his knees, his eyes going lifeless, before falling forward into the rainwater. The ledger was officially closed.
Silence returned to the loading docks, save for the heavy sound of rain falling against the shipping containers.
Jisoo slowly lowered her weapon, taking a long, deep breath. For four long years, she had lived in the dark, running from shadows, hiding her true name, believing that her life was destined to be nothing more than a trail of blood and survival.
She felt a gentle touch on her cheek.
Raffaele turned her toward him. He used his thumb to wipe a drop of rain from her cheek, his dark eyes looking into hers with an intensity that held pure, unshakeable devotion.
"It's over, Jisoo," Raffaele whispered softly. "You don't have to hide anymore."
Tears finally welled in Jisoo’s eyes—not from pain, but from the sudden, overwhelming realization that she was finally free.
"Where do I go now?" she asked softly, her voice breaking slightly. "I don't have a name anymore."
Raffaele smiled—a warm, radiant smile that completely erased the coldness of the night around them. He reached out, taking her hand and locking his fingers through hers.
"You come home with me," Raffaele murmured, pulling her close against his chest as the rain poured over them. "You stay by my side. Not as my security officer... but as my equal."
Six Months Later.
The warm summer sun poured over the manicured gardens of the Mosca estate in Westchester County.
The iron gates were still there, and the high-tech security cameras were still monitored twenty-four hours a day. But the atmosphere inside the stone manor had completely changed.
In the grand dining room, a long mahogany table was set for dinner.
Mrs. Doyle—the head housekeeper whom Raffaele had hired to run the domestic staff—was setting down plates of fresh pasta, laughing with Enzo, who was currently attempting to learn how to fold cloth napkins properly.
At the head of the table sat Jisoo.
She wore an elegant white linen dress, her dark hair flowing softly over her shoulders, her skin glowing with health and peace. Beside her sat Raffaele, holding a glass of vintage red wine, his arm resting comfortably behind her chair.
"The federal prosecutor’s office confirmed it this morning," Jisoo said, turning to Raffaele with a radiant smile. "Volkov’s entire international smuggling network has been completely dismantled. The funds recovered from his accounts have been transferred to the veterans' medical foundation in Seoul."
Raffaele set his glass down, looking at her with deep, unshakeable pride. "You gave those families their peace, Jisoo."
"We gave them peace," she corrected gently, reaching over to cover his hand with hers.
Raffaele leaned over, pressing a soft, lingering kiss against her lips.
Outside the grand windows, the summer breeze blew gently through the green leaves of the oak trees. The shadows of the past had completely dissolved, replaced by a bright, unclouded future built on honor, loyalty, and a love that had defied the darkest corners of the world.

Jisoo looked around the warm, laughter-filled room, squeezed Raffaele’s hand tightly, and knew that she was no longer a ghost running in the dark.
She was finally home.
